Comments on the Shiney Ahuja case

I am astounded as to the clearly biased determination to discredit the rape victim in the actor’s case by those who should at the very least look at the facts and be honoured by their support for the truth. Once the actor becomes aware that he can not be accused of statutory rape, he decides to admit to have actually performed the sexual act but conveniently add and states that the young woman consented (I wonder under what conditions….).
To any sound and fair minded soul, the actor lied upon being accused and later admits to consensual sex with a young women submissive perhaps due to her maid condition or cast status.
Does this means the actor has pursued the young woman before?, perhaps has he made subdue promises or understated threats that might have caused the young woman to give into what he calls, consent?
But the actor admits to the sexual nature of his action. He had consensual intercourse, does this makes it right and acceptable being a married man and her employer?
What is terrifying to see is the extent to which the actor’s family, specially the related women are willing to omit the facts that he, himself, made clear in his own confession and remain in self denial.
The man has committed two grave acts, one of adultery and the other the lie. The actor lied on interrogation to cover his misdeed and thus sending the media, his protectors (of commercial interest or of his image perhaps?), friends and acquaintances into a frenzy of allegations against the young woman under his employment, to further victimize her. Who is to protect the image of the young woman, who is to vouch for the maid.. would the actor ever tell the truth?
Is so easy.. but he can not.. he does not care for the young woman, the maid… maybe a lie detector test would suffice (on him, not the maid) for his behaviour already attest to his faulty character, appalling at best, for as an educated men, a supposedly pillar of a society that consider him exemplary and readily willing to look the other way and forgive his misdeed.
He has failed the basic rule of conduct for any decent human being - the love and respect of others as he loves and respects himself-. But he can lie, why not, maybe was not a lie but a change of though, a redefinition of his act to suit his own interest and preserve his image while demeaning a person that he will victimize every time he lies about the true facts. His wife would vouch for his character, kindness and decency, never mind the adultery part of the story….or the lie.
